Jim - that’s his name - makes a joke along the lines of, so, what does a guy have to do to get you to write about them? There has to be something that moves me to tell the story, I say, something out of the ordinary, more than just the sex itself. The sex has to have an existential quality, or inspire an insight into something, feel metaphorical, echo something profound. It’s about a connection, a touch, a breath, the texture of skin, the way a man kisses, a new kind of body, a bit - but I don’t say this to him – like it is with Tariq." (extract from Difference)
